About

Director of Global Macro, Jurrien Timmer joins us on the show to provide his weekly thoughts and insights on the markets. Jurrien explains how the market could be looking at a mild contraction but quickly followed by a robust recovery. He points to the inverted yield curve and what its pattern is telling us about a potential recession, and the behavior of the markets. With China set to reopen, he says it will be interesting to see how that will affect global markets and create cross currents in an otherwise negative outlook from the yield curve and by extension by earnings. Jurrien also discusses other topics including the debt ceiling, a potential recession this year, and what the earning season is telling us so far in 2023.
